They have a significant design flaw where the hose attaches to the base unit itself. It has a habit of significant leakage in this spot – so much so, that the dirty water mess it creates is more than the original mess it needs to clean up. Each time I’ve bought these units at Wal Mart and each time, I’ve asked their customer service department to make sure the defective feedback gets back to Bissell.

I’d actually go out and buy another type of carpet cleaner, but I’ve now lost my original receipt, so I’m stuck taking it back and replacing it at Wal Mart. Not impressed.
